The pact
Four commitments, written into every engagement letter.
Your books are closed every month, on a schedule you can see.
Your reports are written for an owner, not an auditor, and you get time to go through them.
Your taxes are planned through the year, not discovered in April.
You work with one person who knows your business, and you can reach him.
Who it's for

Professional practices
Owner pay, entity structure and tax planning for practices where most of the profit is the owner's own work.

Straight answers
The questions owners ask on the first call.
What is an Enrolled Agent?
A federal tax credential issued by the IRS. Enrolled Agents have unlimited practice rights before the IRS: they can represent any taxpayer, on any tax matter, before any IRS office.
Do I still need a CPA?
Only if you need audited or reviewed financial statements. Pact CFO does not perform audits or other attest work. Bookkeeping, tax returns, tax planning and IRS representation are all within what an Enrolled Agent does.
How are fees set?
A fixed monthly fee based on scope and volume, agreed in writing before work starts. Cleanup and back-year returns are quoted separately as projects.
What if my books are a mess?
Most new clients start there. We clean up and catch up first, then move you onto the monthly routine.
Which software do you use?
QuickBooks Online for the books, with payroll and reporting connected to it. If you're on something else, we'll talk through moving.
Talk through your numbers with Foad.
A short intro call. Tell us about the business and where the books stand, and we'll say plainly whether we're the right fit.
Remote across Southern California, and in person by appointment.
